Cephus

Cephus has been out in the garden today making new bird houses, mending the fence and painting over that pesky "no crows" sign. Cephus is so delighted, he's finally retired and can openly welcome the crows he's been secretly fond of for years!

Cephus is an original one of a kind Spider Sisters Studio creation, he's been made with lots of love and great attention to detail.  Cephus sports a worn long tail jacket full of patches, missing buttons and a sweet little lapel flower, his trousers are patched, mended, and worn with bits of stuffing sticking out here and there, his boots have seen better days, and his hat looks as though more than one nest has been built in it over  the years!

Cephus will come to you with paint bucket and brush in his gloved hands, he'll arrive with 6 tiny hand crafted bird houses, 5 crows, a small wooden fence complete with a tattered "crows welcome" sign, and an old boot with a nest built in it that also houses a teeny tiny mouse! The mini pumpkin pincushions and giant rose hips are not included with the sale of this piece. Cephus is a great versatile piece, he can light up your home decor with his wide grin from late summer right up through the first snowflakes of winter.  Cephus is signed and dated, he was made  without the use of molds or patterns making him a true one of a kind piece. Cephus is an adult collectors piece with small pieces, he is not intended for children to play with.

Barnabus the little fat bat

Barnabus is so excited, he's been looking forward to trick or treating for months and Halloween is finally here! But once again, Barnabus finds himself stranded in old man Mcgregor's pumpkin patch! He's eaten all the treats and his small wings won't carry his fat little tummy, so he is left with nothing more than candy wrappers, an empty treat bucket, and no way to get home unless he can convince a kindly crow or owl to give him a ride! Barnabus is a delightfully soft 4" bat perched on a vintage velvet pumpkin, he's been made from my own original Spider Sisters Studio PDF pattern. He is a one of a kind adult collectors piece and not intended for children

Barnabus has been sold, Thanks so much

Miss Amelia Winthrope

Amelia is so excited! She's found the perfect bonnet to go with her gown. Amelia's family is said to throw the very best All Hallows' Eve dance in the county, eligible young men from the finest families will no doubt be in attendance, Amelia must look her best! Amelia is dressed in replica, repurposed and vintage fabrics and trims . I've hand stitched parts of her attire, parts have been machine stitched as they are repurposed or too persnickety in nature to handwork. Amelia carries a small jack o lantern bucket and a witch mask to complete her All Hallows' Eve ensemble. Amelia is 14", her body is made from antique French linen. Amelia will come signed and dated on her own wooden stand in your choice of color. Amelia is an adult collectors piece, not intended for children.

Amelia has been sold, Thank you

First Zombies of the year

Joined at the Hip

Although Coupe and Crude Cruickshank "came up together" they weren't always joined at the hip. They have Auntie Cru, as she's affectionately know, to thank for that! Cru always thought the boys could "get on better" but there was little she could say to make them "see sense" That is until the zombie apocalypse! Cru seized the opportunity to bring the boys together literally, when she found they had both become casualties of the uprising. Coupe and Crude now spend their days, not fighting over music, clothing or even lifestyle as you might think looking at them, but over a single tin of pomade! Coupe has been rocking the James Dean look for years and fancies himself a real ladies man, he's sure the secret lies in his coiffure. Crude on the other hand would never live it down if his "hawk" wasn't flying high.

Now the boys not only fight, they never tire of inventing ways to get the tin from the other. If you look closely, you'll see that Crude has a bottle of hair remover in one hand and a pair of scissors in the other, he knows if Coupe has no hair, he won't need that all important tin of pomade....and so the battle rages on. The worst part is, now one can't hide the tin from the other...Auntie Cru, thanks for nothing!

Coupe and Crude are my first Zombie of the year, they are a one of a kind original piece created in a mixed media format. Crude is dressed in a pair of hand painted "denim" jeans, white tee shirt and leather look jacket made from vintage fabric, his boots have been created with the appearance of leather and have lug soles.

Crude is wearing Royal Stewart tartan stovepipe trousers, tee shirt, and hand painted studded "denim" jacket, his leather look boots are lug sole lace ups.Great attention to detail shows in every inch of this piece. From the comb in Coupe's pocket, to the over 250 hand stitched studs on Crudes jacket. I painted the denim used on Coupe and Crude so it was lightweight enough not to overpower the 17" stature of the bodies, it looks so much like real denim you have to look closely to see it's not! The denim looks like it has authentic wear with creases in all the right places. including wear on the pocket from the comb you'll find in Coupes jeans. Coupe wears a fully lined "leather" jacket that looks soft and worn, his lug sole boot appears scuffed and has not one, but two bite marks evident on it. Coupes coiffure is lovely raven camel, styled like his idol James Dean.
Crude's hand painted denim jacket boast over 250 tiny hand stitched "studs", his band badges have been hand stitched and I've created something that looks similar to safety pins that are in scale with his stature. Crude's leather look, lug sole boot laces and ties. Crude's tee shirt is a tiny custom "anarchy" one of a kind, there was only enough fabric to make his wonderful tee with studded, torn and pinned neckline, his trousers are an authentic Royal Stewart tartan in micro scale with a few added "safety pins".

Coupe and Crude both sport bruising, bites, gouges, rotten teeth, missing digits with a bit of bone sticking out, bloodshot eyes and a rotten skin pallor.
"Joined at the Hip" is a Spider Sisters Studio original one of a kind adult collectors piece. It will come to you signed and dated. As with all my Zombies, there is the option to purchase an entire background scene for your piece.
